The 阅读 Master's (MEd) program at newbb电子平台 is a 31-credit hour online program that can be completed in three semesters. The faculty within this advanced master's program work to help licensed teachers further their knowledge and understanding of language and reading development, teach reading across grades K-12, administer reading assessments and make data-driven decisions, work with other teachers and specialists to design appropriate reading instruction to meet the needs of all students, and develop and conduct original research to further their own learning. 毕业后, students are also eligible to apply to have the reading endorsement added to their Ohio teaching license.

No courses (undergraduate or graduate level) will be considered for credit toward the graduate degree, with the exception of phonics and those courses completed previously as part of the newbb电子平台 阅读背书 Program (EDTE 5200, 5220, 5230, and 5260 (completed prior to or during 春天 2019§); EDTE 5201, 5221, 5230, and 5261 (completed 夏天 2019 or later)).
§阅读背书 coursework is transferable to the Master's of 阅读 教育 for five (5) years after its completion.
Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE)
Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to receive their reading endorsement. For this, the OAE reading exam must be taken and passed.

- Three letters of recommendation
- 自传 – The autobiography should include relevant personal and professional information about the applicant, including a statement concerning long-range career goals (no more than two pages).
- 学术写作样本 – Examples may include a published paper or a paper submitted for a course.
- Application deadlines are April 4 for 夏天 and July 15 for 秋天.
Note: Applications will not begin to be reviewed until January for 夏天 Term admission.
All applications will be reviewed holistically, 然而, prospective master’s students generally should have an undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.00 (4.00 point scale) and a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent.
